Thai Polyester Company, driven by a steadfast commitment to sustainability, has launched the Textile to Textile (T2T) recycling program. This groundbreaking initiative turns polyester fabric waste generated during garment production into high-quality recycled fibers. It highlights our commitment to sustainable practices and positively impacting the environment.
Collecting: The process begins with gathering fabric scraps from garment factories, diverting them from ending up in landfills.
Sorting: The scraps are sorted by type and color, allowing them to be reused without re-dyeing, saving much water and chemicals.
Recycling and Melting: The sorted fabrics are broken down into fibers and melted, purifying the material naturally without the need for chemicals and preparing it for the next stage.
Granulating: The melted polyester is turned into small, uniform pellets. These pellets are essential for maintaining quality when making new fibers.
Spinning: The final step involves melting the pellets again and spinning them into fibers and yarn. These materials are used to create new fabrics, allowing waste to have a second life as valuable resources.
Reduces Landfill Waste: T2T recycling substantially reduces the volume of waste in landfills, minimizing environmental pollution and conserving land.
Conserves Natural Resources: This program lessens the demand for new resources such as water, energy, and petroleum by reusing materials.
Reduces Pollution: This process skips traditional methods that pollute the air, water, and soil, helping to keep the environment cleaner and safer.
The T2T recycling shows how sustainable practices can be applied to textile production. By turning waste into usable fibers, the program saves resources, reduces pollution, and supports a circular economy, positively impacting the textile industry's sustainability.
